In June of 2020, Jonathan Rodriguez, an officer with the Cleveland Police Department, was with his SWAT team, responding to an emergency call, when a drunk driver struck their van. Several of the officers were trapped in the van. Jonathan suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down and had to retire in September of 2021 at the young age of 30. He is cared for, around the clock, by his wife and nurses with his two young children by his side.
This summer, Jonathan is scheduled to undergo a costly procedure that is expected to increase his quality of life. The Rodriquez family has exhausted all Bureau of Workers Compensation and medical insurance options to no availability, and the expense of this procedure will fall entirely on the family.
The Rodriquez family is very private and has not sought outside help, and this financial burden is too much to shoulder at this point. Blue Line Unlimited has stepped in to assist the family and bring awareness to the cause. We're asking our fellow brothers, sisters, and supporters of the blue to join us in this initiative to make a difference in the lives of the Rodriguez Family.
Making a donation online is a simple task that will make a lasting impact.
